Family User Guide

Your Family Hub pages, explained

Every family receives three unique web pages: Display, Send, and Admin. This guide explains what each page does, how the buttons work, and how to keep your family safe.

Important: your three page links are unique to your family. Keep them private and only share them with trusted relatives.

Security reminder

Anyone with your links can view the display and send messages. The Admin page is protected by your family PIN.

If you ever need a new link or PIN reset, contact support.

1) Display Page

The display page is the always-on screen your loved one sees. It scrolls through messages, photos, and voice notes.

Pause and resume

Use the pause button to stop the scrolling. Press it again to resume.

Previous and next

Use the up and down buttons to move back and forward through messages.

Touch control

You can swipe up or down on touch screens to move through the display.

2) Send Page

The send page lets family members create messages from anywhere in the world.

Text messages

Type your message, choose a color, and press Send Message. You can schedule it for a future time or send now.

Images and GIFs

Upload a photo, paste an image, drag and drop, or add a GIF URL. You can also add a caption.

Audio messages

Record a short voice note and send it with or without a photo. Audio plays every time the message comes around.

Send page tips

  • Display for: choose how many hours the message should remain active.
  • Schedule for: set a future date and time. Leave blank to send now.
  • Image URL: paste a direct link (Google Drive or OneDrive links work).
  • Text URL: pull text from a file like a daily message list.
  • Audio duration: set when sending, and it can be changed later by an admin.

3) Admin Page

The admin page is for trusted family members who manage messages and settings.

Enter the Admin PIN you set on the signup form. This keeps your family settings secure.

Settings

Show Images, Speed (scroll speed), Default Lifespan, Randomise Messages, and contact emails.

Message actions

Keep, Edit, or Delete messages. Mark important items as Keep so they are not removed by cleanup.

Admin page notes

  • Scroll Speed: approximately how many seconds to allow the user to read a message. A higher number means a slower scroll speed.
  • Run Cleanup: messages marked as Keep are not deleted by Run Cleanup.
  • Expired: expired means it is no longer displayed on the display page.
  • Bulk Upload: use the Bulk Upload page to download a CSV template and upload many messages at once.
  • Download All: export all messages and media in a zip file.
